Ok, this is the first official entry. Taxi for the airport arrives in 2 hours. Yesterday I dropped the kids off at the grandparents, the husband off at the airport for his business trip, and went home for final preparations. Finally got to bed after a late night wrestling match with a stuff sac.
Feeling nervous but not frantic. Feeling very appreciative of this opportunity (see my Fb page for Oscar-style thank yous). Feeling glad that my backpack weighs less than 40 lbs -my luggage weight limit for the little planes I'm supposed to be flying on once in Alaska. Hmmm, I never did get that prescription for Ativan....
